RockaRolla didn't come from nowhere. It's essentially the continuation, development and ... master reset of a radio that twenty years ago, put its own mark into radio of Thessaloniki. As Radio Acropolis then, we had filled the radio waves of the city with unstoppable rock music, 24-7, always live and in a short course until the final closing, we managed and lived unique radio and live moments (you can read more about the prehistory in  "Gory Days" section). All these years some continued (and still are) in well known radios in Thessaloniki and Athens while others went temporarily home.. But how this evolution occur and we are still here? All began with a crazy and super succesful party on the occasion of 20 years since the establishment of RA, a party which took place in a famous club of Thessaloniki March 9th 2009. The party accompanied by a simultaneous revival of radio station on the air of 1055, and after that you don't need much thinking to understand what happened. In a short time, we got together and talked (some of us after many years) over 40 ex producers of Radio Acropolis and after we discovered that we still had an "Itch" for this, here we are again! With a difference! The seasons changed, so is rock'n'roll... So what? The "company" is what counts and the company is alive, full of energy, listens to everything that's happening and with the "new blood", started first of all PILOT PROGRAM on the INTERNET with the ONLY MUSIC at FIRST and shorty and LIVE on mics. As then, the Radio Acropolis, aslo now the Rockarolla Radio aspires to become not only a rock radio, but a music community, a life suggestion and rock culture while with this team and collective spirit intends also to work!-We want to proadcast good music, mainly rock and most important musics which are not often heard from elsewhere.- We want this website of Rockarolla, to become the buddy that keeps us company, will inform us and entertain us. - We want to spek freely and comfortably in mics and to proadcast a bunch of opinions and ideas that we have in mind. -We want to scape from the logic of the play-lists and the STEREOTYPE because simply we don't like it. -We want, in the end, YOU not in the role of a passive listener or updateres of percentage points of corporation polls, but you in "foreground", here beside us with a loud voice... real... Rockarolla!
